Call For Abstract

Submission Guidelines

The call for abstracts for the 6th AYRCOB is now open. The abstract should consist of background(s) and motivation(s), proposed approach(es), as well as result(s) and conclusion(s). The flow must strictly be adhered to. Failure to do so may result in rejection of the abstract. Three to four keywords must also be provided for appropriate assignment of reviewers. Submission must be done in PDF (.pdf) format by Saturday, 5 Oct 2012 at 23:59 (UTC/GMT +8 hours).

In the 6th AYRCOB, we invite submissions of abstracts for any of the following tracks:

  3. Poster

Topic of Interest

For the Oral and Poster tracks, submitted abstracts must represent original, previously unpublished research works. Nevertheless, submitted abstracts of partially published works with new findings or works-in-progress in relevant emerging research topics are also welcomed.For the Highlight track, authors are invited to submit their full papers that have been published, or accepted for publication, between 16 June 2011 and the submission deadline on 5 Oct 2012. In addition to being already accepted for publication, a paper “in press” must have been published online in the journal website in order to qualify for submission to this track. The two-page abstract for this track should provide the link to the website and describe how the work of the submitted full paper is impacting the field.All papers (in PDF format) should be submitted to:

Review Guidelines

All submitted abstracts will go through a rigorous peer-review process with the following review criteria (among many others):
1. Relevance
2. Scientific impact
3. Language quality (grammar, dictions, etc.)
Results of the peer-review process will be announced by 25 Oct 2012. Authors of selected abstracts shall be invited for oral or poster presentations at the conference. Shortlisted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings.

Travel Sponsorships

A limited number of travel sponsorships will be awarded to selected oral presenters. Only authors submitting to the Oral track will be able to opt for such sponsorship. To qualify, the following documents (English-translated, PDF-formatted) must be enclosed with during the abstract submission:
1. Curriculum Vitae (1 to 4 A4 pages)
2. Recommendation letter from supervisor/superintendent (1 A4 page)
Please note that the organizers reserve the rights to request additional documentations whenever deemed necessary to facilitate the assessment of travel sponsorship applicants. Should such a need arise, authors who have opted for the travel sponsorship will be contacted via e-mail.

Presentation Preparation

Oral Presentation
Oral presenters will be given a 20min slot (15 min presentation + 5 min question).
Poster Presentation
The ideal poster size should be max. 1.2M (120 cm) high x 0.8M (80 cm) wide.
